Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force Col. Oka Moto hands Lt. Col. Terry M. Paustenbaugh a placard at the closing ceremony of Exercise Forest Light 12-01 at the Hijudai Maneuver Area, Oita, Japan, Aug. 31. The gift exchange displayed mutual appreciation for the successful, bilateral training exercise. Col. Oka Moto is the commanding officer of the JGSDF’s 41st Infantry Regiment. Paustenbaugh is the commanding officer for Combat Assault Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
