ARABIAN SEA (May 8, 2021) – Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Nathaniel Yost, left, and Gas Turbine System Technician (Mechanical) 3rd Class Jason Bird, both assigned to guided-missile destroyer USS Laboon (DDG 58), prepare to attach cargo to a MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter, attached to the “Dusty Dogs” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 7, during a vertical replenishment-at-sea in the Arabian Sea, May 8. Laboon is operating with the IKE Carrier Strike Group while deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations and providing air power to protect U.S. and coalition forces as they conduct drawdown operation from Afghanistan.
