Marine Sgt. Rose Coleman, Joint Task Force Guantanamo Medical Linguist Noncommissioned Officer in Charge makes her way up a slope with a bucket of cement handed off to her by Boy Scout Forrest Welsh, Troop 435 Guantanamo Bay as Welsh turns back town a hill to get another bucket. Coleman, working with 30 other people including Marines, Joint Task Force Troopers, and Guantanamo Bay Residents helped Welsh earn his Eagle Scout Badge project which was to construct a new monument commemorating the Battle of Cuzco Well and the heroic actions of Medal of Honor recipients Marine Sgt. John Henry Quick and Marine Pvt. John Fitzgerald. Historical documentation revealed that the original monument was not only placed on the incorrect hill, but that the original commemoration plaque has the wrong dates of the battle so Welsh made it his mission to earn his Eagle Scout by constructing a the monument on the proper hill with a new plaque.
