U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Stephanie Jordi, a drill instructor with Lima Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, explains the biggest impact she wanted to make on these future Marines, was for them to be strong leaders. “The Marine Corps needs strong leaders and if there is one thing they can leave here with, it’s knowing the importance of the leadership role in the Marine Corps,” says Jordi during the Crucible at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, on April 21, 2021. Lima Company is the first company aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego to train integrated with females.
