U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Pollyann Valenzuela, a Los Angeles native and medical technician with the 75th Medical Group, 75th Air Base Wing stationed at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, receives her deployment patch at the state-led, federally-supported Community Vaccination Center at Ford Field in Detroit, April 27, 2021. Valenzuela is part of a group of Airmen assigned to 1st Detachment, 64th Air Expeditionary Group that are assisting with the vaccination efforts. Valenzuela’s main responsibility is supporting the local community members by administering COVID-19 vaccinations. Valenzuela said, “It's a privilege to do this and help the community here.” Valenzuela is ready to provide a helping hand to the community of Detroit.
