U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Josiah Sellars, a New York City native and pharmacy technician with the 19th Operational Medical Readiness Squadron stationed at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, assigned to 2nd Detachment, 64th Air Expeditionary Group, poses during a break at the Community Vaccination Center in Gary, Indiana, April 8, 2021. Sellars is part of a group of U.S. Air Force personnel who will be supporting the vaccination efforts. His main responsibility is providing medical administration and registration support to community members at the vaccination centers. Sellars ensures people are vaccinated as safely as possible. Sellars, who has been personally affected by COVID-19 by the loss of loved ones, said, “It feels amazing to know that we are here assisting in this joint tasking to help get people vaccinated and contribute our effort to get the world back to normal.” U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing continued, flexible Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency as part of the whole-of-government response to COVID-19.
