U.S. soldiers with the 1st Platoon, Baker Company, 3rd Battalion (Airborne), 509th Infantry Regiment, Task Force 4-25 clean out the back of a mine-resistant, ambush-protected vehicle at Forward Operating Base Gardez, Paktia province, Afghanistan, Aug. 17, 2012. The soldiers performed weekly maintenance on the MRAPs to keep them combat ready.
