The Honorable Thomas W. Harker, Acting Secretary of the Navy, tours the New Combined Heat Plant (CHP) Site April 1, 2021 during his visit aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C. The visit provided an opportunity for Harker and the Chief of Staff for the Secretary of the Navy, Mr. Thomas Ross, to observe recruit training and interact with recruits and permanent personnel aboard the installation to better understand the operations, unique geography, environment, and facilities of the depot.
