U.S. Army Spc. Gao Joosten, a native of Winder, Georgia, and a petroleum supply specialist with 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), welcomed the opportunity to help with vaccine efforts in Cleveland. “This mission is about saving lives, and that’s a good thing,” she said. Joosten is working as an usher at the Wolstein Community Vaccination Center in Cleveland making sure everyone knows where they are supposed to be. “Anything I can do to help,” she said. “I am honored to do my part.” U.S. Army North remains committed to providing continued, flexible Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency as part of the whole-of-government response to COVID-19.
