Members of the North Carolina Air and Army National Guard and volunteers with the Second Harvest Food Bank, Metrolina fill Residents of Catawba County, N.C. vehicles with food in Hickory, N.C. while participating in a free food distribution event March 22, 2021. The Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina and the NC Air and Army NG have been traveling across the state of North Carolina during the Covid-19 outbreak to provide sustenance to those in need; this is the first time they have made the trip to Hickory, N.C. where they provided nearly 30,000 pounds of food to 550 families within a span of two hours. Clinton Tabernacle A.M.E. Zion Church hosted the food distribution event, providing volunteers to assist in directing traffic.
