Capt. Erik Thors, commanding officer of Recruit Training Command, asks Seaman Recruit Haley Randolph what year the Constitution was signed.
Recruits are trained to have basic watchstanding capabilities, like challenging all persons trying to access government property, and having basic military knowledge. Watchstanding is one of the many foundational skills required of recruits on their journey to become a Sailor in the world's finest Navy. More than 40,000 recruits train annually at the Navy's only boot camp. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Camilo Fernan)
