Spc. Thomas Tillery, generator mechanic with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, carefully handles a group of wires Aug. 14 at Combat Outpost Pashmul South in Zharay district, Kandahar province, Afghanistan. Tillery used his diverse knowledge to change the electrical grid at the outpost, so the generators there could perform at their peak.
