Spc. Thomas Tillery, generator mechanic of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, pulls the heavy generator wire to establish a new electrical grid Aug. 14 at Combat Outpost Pashmul South in Zharay district, Kandahar province, Afghanistan. Tillery maintained a humble attitude during the long strenuous days and enjoyed expanding his knowledge of the trade.
