U.S. Marines Marine Corps Installation Pacific- Camp Smedley D. Butler, conduct a gear check to inspect the M16-A1 and M4 service rifles prior to use on Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 2, 2020. Once a year, Marines are required to shoot on the known distance course of fire, tables one and two. Upon completion, Marines are awarded a score of marksmanship, sharpshooter or expert.
