Senior Airman James Lawson, 2nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron crew chief, and Staff Sgt. Wesley Cantrell, 2nd Maintenance Group quality assurance, look over the cockpit of a B-52H Stratofortress bomber on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Aug. 20. Lawson is one of five crew chiefs chosen to represent the 2nd Bomb Wing in the 2012 Global Strike Challenge. Cantrell gauged Lawson's knowledge of the cockpit and advised him on other aspects he may need to know for the competition.
