Dorian Gardner into a kayak during a community relations event with the Blind Veterans Association at Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas, Aug. 20. Gardner was one of approximately 20 blind veterans who participated in Team River Runner-sponsored kayaking trip, which was dedicated to creating an opportunity for the active, safe and positive support of healing service members and their families.
