KEYPORT, Wash. (Dec. 15, 2020) – Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Mike Gilday receives a brief from Fire Control Technician 1st Class Everett White, from Flagstaff, Arizona, Unmanned Undersea Vehicle Squadron (UUVRON) 1, about the Deep Trekker submersible, remotely-operated vehicle, which is used to recover downed unmanned undersea vehicles, Dec. 15. Gilday visited UUVRON-1 and other Pacific Northwest units to see first-hand how the Navy's undersea and submarine forces are advancing in key mission areas related to warfighting readiness.
