Chief Warrant Officer 5 George Wooten (Ret.), left, gives Lieutenant General Mark R. Wise visited the Marines of MALS-26 to discuss the changes happening throughout Marine Corps Aviation. Wise is the Deputy Commandant for Aviation, serving as the principle advisor on all aviation matters and the principle spokesperson of Marine Corps aviation programs, requirements, and strategy throughout the Department of the Navy and the Department of Defense. Wooten is a planned maintenance interval with MALS-26, a subordinate unit of 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. 2nd MAW is the air combat element of II Marine Expeditionary Force.
