A-10 pilots, Zucco and Metro, reminisce at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, July 7, 2012, while standing near one of the aircraft they flew during a harrowing mission in support of ambushed coalition forces fighting during dangerous weather conditions. The pilots, along with a dozen other pilots from their home unit, the 104th Fighter Squadron, protected about 90 coalition service members during a major battle in the mountains of eastern Afghanistan.
