Brig. Gen. John D. Haas, assistant adjutant general- Army and Command Sgt. Maj. Dave Lanham, command senior enlisted leader, with the Florida Army National Guard (FLARNG) present the Florida State Flag to 1st Lt. Anthony Baxter, commander of B/3-265th Air Defense Artillery Battalion, and 1st Sgt. Kurtis Hartley during a departure ceremony, Saturday, November 28th in Palmetto, Fla. Together they will lead the Soldiers of B/3-265th ADA BN to Europe in support of the European Deterrence Initiative (EDI) mission. The flag will accompany them on their deployment to fly over their headquarters, serving as a reminder of the family, friends, communities and State they left behind, while also expressing the pride they have in the State of Florida.
