Pyrotechnics, which are designed to simulate real-world explosions, erupt in and around a hospital during a Vibrant Response 13 training venue at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Complex, Aug. 11. During the exercise, Muscatatuck firefighters responded to an emergency call to provide support and extinguish the flames. Over the past few weeks, 9,000 military service members and civilians have participated in Vibrant Response, a major field training exercise conducted by U.S. Northern Command and led by U.S. Army North.
