A hospital and surrounding areas burn after a simulated explosion, caused by pyrotechnics, detonates in the training structure during a Vibrant Response 13 field training exercise at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Complex, Aug. 11. During the exercise, Muscatatuck firefighters responded to an emergency call to provide support and extinguish the flames. Over the past few weeks, 9,000 military service members and civilians have participated in Vibrant Response, a major field training exercise conducted by U.S. Northern Command and led by U.S. Army North.
