201119-N-TP832-1150 OKINAWA, Japan (Nov. 19, 2020) Utilitiesman Constructionman James Hammer, assigned to U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3, guides a skid steer with a wheel saw attachment during a rapid airfield damage repair exercise with Airmen assigned to the U.S. Air Force 18th Civil Engineer Squadron on Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan. NMCB-3 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
