Crawford Hall at Langley Air Force Base, Va., is named after Robert Macarthur Crawford, father of the Air Force song. The song was chosen from more than 700 entrees during a contest in 1938, held by then Brig. Gen. Henry H. “Hap” Arnold and Bernarr MacFadden.
