Col. Robert Akam (left), 1st Cavalry Division chief of staff, awards the 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment Volunteer of the Month Award to Cpl. Travis Rauhuff (right), during the 1st Cavalry Division Distinguished Service and Welcome Ceremony here Aug. 8, at Cooper Field. Rauhuff is a Bradley Fighting Vehicle System Maintainer assigned to 2-5 CAV, 1st Brigade Combat Team. He received the award for his participation in the unit’s Family Readiness Group as well as other battalion activities during the month of May.
