KINGS BAY, Ga. (Oct. 22, 2020) Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, Dr. James Anderson looks through the periscope in ship's control during his tour aboard the Ohio-class ballistic-missile submarine USS Alaska (SSBN 732) (Blue) while visiting Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Georgia. Alaska is one of six ballistic-missile submarines stationed at the base, providing the most survivable leg of the strategic deterrence triad for the United States.
