U.S. Soldiers from Vilseck Veterinary Services, 131st MP Detachment Grafenwoehr and C Co 1-214 Dust-off (12th CAB) participate in a collaborative exercise to simulate field care, loading, transport, and in-route emergency medical care for Military Working Dogs (MWD), Vilseck, Germany, 20 OCT, 2020. MWD handlers worked with Animal Care Specialists and Flight Medics to better understand the principles of safe evacuation procedures and emergency care of MWD’s, while the training helped the dogs get better acclimated to the sights, sounds, and feel of a MEDEVAC situation.
