SAN DIEGO (Oct. 12, 2020) –Ensign Dean Tougas, a Sailor assigned to the guided-missile destroyer USS Stockdale, salutes while the names of the Sailors lost from the attack on the guided-missile destroyer USS Cole (DDG 67) are read during a remembrance ceremony, held on board Stockdale. Oct. 12, 2020, marks the 20th anniversary of the tragedy in which 17 Sailors were killed when al Qaeda terrorists attacked the Cole while moored for refueling in the Port of Aden.
