U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Mark Oldroyd, left, the 2nd Marine Division (2d MARDIV) Ordnance Officer, congratulates Sgt. Tiffany Luther, former assistant battalion maintenance chief with 2nd Assault Amphibious Battalion, 2d MARDIV, after Luther received the 2019 Ground Ordnance Maintenance Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year Award on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Oct. 9, 2020. Luther, a native of Thomasville, North Carolina, who has won the award twice now said, “It’s about stepping outside your comfort zone and striving to be in positions that are challenging. Chase after the challenge and grow with it.” Luther’s unwavering determination, unmatched initiative, and uncommon resourcefulness during the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Exercise Trident Juncture 2018 were instrumental in the battalion’s combat readiness throughout the exercise.
