SAN DIEGO (Oct. 5, 2020) – Adm. John C. Aquilino, Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, meets with a Sailor during his visit to the America-class amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli (LHA 7). Tripoli is the Navy’s newest amphibious assault ship. The ship arrived in San Diego on Sept. 18 following its commissioning ceremony in Pascagoula, Mississippi and subsequent sail around South America this summer.
