Brian Ridgway, a Transportation Operations Specialist at the 597th Trans. Ridgeway was awarded a coin for executing missions and tasks outside his comfort zone and position description during the first six months of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ridgeway contributed to the readiness of his unit by innovating new processes for teleworking staff and serving as the interim Public Affairs Officer for the 597th Trans. Bde. He also supported the brigade’s COVID-19 tracking and tracing operations and led the 832nd Transportation Battalion Commander's Inspection Program.
