U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Clarissa Aguirre, motor transport operator assigned to the 690th Rapid Port Opening Element, 832nd Transportation Battalion, 597th Transportation Brigade, salutes U.S. Army Material Command Commanding General Ed Daly visited the 597th Transportation Brigade headquarters at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, Sept. 29, 2020. Aguirre was awarded a coin for contributing to her unit’s readiness by overseeing a daily remedial physical fitness program at the Rapid Port Opening Element Detachment and implementing a strict training room process of accounting for certificates, training tasks and calendars in Army software systems to provide visibility and oversight for the command team.
