TINIAN, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (Sept. 25, 2020) Builder 1st Class Joseph Hophan hands Builder 2nd Class Kyle Foresman, both assigned to Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 2, Construction Dive Detachment Alfa, an ultrasonic thickness tester before diving in the Tinian Harbor. UCT 2 is conducting inspections as part of a maritime infrastructure assessment of the harbor and surrounding waterfront facilities in Tinian, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands during their 20-2 Indo-Pacific deployment. UCT 2 provides a capability for construction, inspection, repair, and maintenance of ocean facilities in support of Navy and Marine Corps operations.
