Mathis, deputy director for Antiterrorism and Homeland Defense (center), gives a brief to key leaders during the Vibrant Response 13 Exercise held at Forward Operating Base Panther, Ind., July 29, 2012. The VR-13 Exercise will last 19 days with service members from 25 states including Active, National Guard and Reserve components joining together with civilians to train in response to a nuclear attack. Mathis visited FOB Panther in efforts to talk with key leaders to ensure training is executed properly.
