Maj. Gen. Jeff W. Mathis, Deputy Director for Antiterrorism and Homeland Defense (left), talks with Col. Bret Van Camp, Brigade Commander of the 1st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade of Fort Polk, La. during a briefing covering the specifics of Vibrant Response 13 Exercise held at Forward Operating Base Panther, Ind., July 29, 2012. The VR-13 Exercise will go on for 19 days where service members from 25 states including Active, National Guard and Reserve components join together with civilians to train in response of a nuclear attack. Mathis visited FOB Panther in efforts to talk with key leaders to ensure training is executed properly.
