Newly-promoted Capt. David H. Huntoon III, a Soldier with 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, watches as his dad, Maj. Gen. David H. Huntoon Jr., commandant for the U.S. Army War College, promotes him from first lieutenant to captain during his dad's visit to Baqubah, Iraq, Nov. 2. Huntoon's visit allowed him an opportunity to gain lessons learned during the fight in Diyala province.
