TINIAN, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (Sept. 23, 2020) Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Ryan Kitchens, assigned to Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 2 Construction Dive Detachment ALFA, conducts pre-dive checks on a buoyancy compensator for SCUBA diving operations within the Tinian Harbor. UCT 2 is conducting inspections in part of a Maritime Infrastructure Assessment (MIA) of the Tinian Harbor and surrounding waterfront facilities during their 20-2 INDOPACOM deployment. UCT 2 provides a capability for construction, inspection, repair, and maintenance of ocean facilities in support of Naval and Marine Corps operations.
