U.S. Marine Gunnery Sgt. The 41-year-old native of Tallahassee, Fla., nearly died from two cardiac episodes while deployed to Afghanistan in 2009. Dugger used his second chance to turn his life around. He quit drinking, began eating more healthily and decided to complete a triathlon. Less than a year later, he completed an Ironman triathlon in Cozumel, Mexico. In total, he's finished 9 marathons and 30 triathlons.
