On August 20th, 2020, 2nd Infantry Battalion 35th Infantry Regiment conducted an Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise (EDRE) in order to test the unit's ability to alert, marshal, and deploy forces and equipment to an emergency disaster or for contingency operations. The exercise required the unit to conduct a 100% accountability of its immediate response force.
