PACIFIC OCEAN (Aug. 1, 2020) – U.S. Navy Lt. Marcos Figueroa, a critical care nurse assigned to Fleet Surgical Team 1, embarked aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8), gives a class on proper use of medical equipment to hospital corpsmen with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and USS Makin Island in the eastern Pacific. The U.S. Navy and Marine Corps continue to combine efforts to refine and strengthen fundamental amphibious capabilities and reinforce the Navy-Marine Corps team.
