PACIFIC OCEAN (Aug. 2, 2020) – U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Mark Wormly a Distribution Liaison Cell Marine, left, and Sgt. Joseph Osornio a supply administrative specialist, both with Combat Logistics Battalion 15, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, use a tablet to track equipment for placement in the appropriate department after receiving a shipment aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) in the eastern Pacific. The DLC mission is to provide general shipping, receiving, consolidated distribution and to maintain asset visibility throughout a sustained high operational tempo. The U.S. Navy and Marine Corps continue to combine efforts to refine and strengthen fundamental amphibious capabilities and reinforce the Navy-Marine Corps team.
