Richmond, a native of Chicago, has been in the Navy for 19 years and 8 months and has been a member of team Souda for one year. Capt. Rafael C. Facundo assumed command from Capt. Ryan T. Tewell during the ceremony. NSA Souda Bay is an operational ashore base that enables U.S., allied, and partner nation forces to be where they are needed when they are needed to ensure security and stability in Europe, Africa, and Southwest Asia.
