The aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) transits the Pacific Ocean June 25, 2012. Nimitz was under way conducting carrier qualifications in preparation for Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2012, a U.S. Pacific Command-hosted multinational maritime exercise designed to foster and sustain international cooperation on the security on the world.
