U.S. Marine Cpl. Gino Perez a tiltrotor mechanic with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 166, assigned to Special Purpose Marine-Air Ground Task Force - Crisis Response - Central Command 20.2, receives a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal in Kuwait, July 15, 2020. Cpl. Perez received his medal for superior performance of his duties as a Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative. On 27 to 29 June 2020 he led a team of maintainers for a maintenance operation after observing that a MV-22B Osprey engine required replacement and developed a plan for the timely recovery of the aircraft.
