Top Military Health Care officials visit Naval Hospital Bremerton

Deckplate leadership to the fore...Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Hannah Carlson explains Naval Hospital Bremerton's Urgent Care Clinic efforts in the command's response to help stop the spread of COVID-19 to the Honorable Thomas McCaffery, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs. Carlson's efforts the past months have her highly regarded as the linchpin for UCC, ensuring daily operations run with fail. She's considered the undisputed key player in the successful launch of NHB's drive through screening process, ensuring that all patients were triaged and flow through each process step in a safe manner with minimal contact, reducing the chance of virus spread. Carlson also worked collaboratively with NHB's Facilities department to set up additional outdoor screening tents to minimize the risk of exposure within the hospital and ensured all staff were properly trained on the wear of personal protective equipment. McCaffery, along with U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Ronald J. Place, Defense Health Agency (DHA) director visited NHB July 16, 2020 (Official Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class Meagan Christoph, NHB/NMRTC Bremerton public affairs).
