Sgt. Jacob Eader (right), a member of the Ohio National Guard’s 1st Battalion, 134th Field Artillery Regiment, teaches his fellow Soldiers carpentry tasks while supporting an urban farm project June 23, 2020, in Columbus, Ohio. Eader, who is a carpenter in his civilian job, and the other Soldiers have been supporting Mid-Ohio Foodbank’s operations during the COVID-19 pandemic since late March. The farm project supports the food bank’s access to fresh produce and will also be a site to provide community education and engagement on urban farming and agriculture.
