200630-N-ML137-2010 PHILIPPINE SEA (June 30, 2020) Aviation Machinist’s Mate 1st Class Oscar Montano, from Cali, Colombia, connects compressed air to a pneumatic starter on a turbofan engine on the fantail of the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) to prepare for an operational test. Ronald Reagan is part of the Reagan Carrier Strike Group (CSG). The USS Nimitz (CVN 68) and Ronald Reagan CSGs are conducting dual-carrier operations in the Philippine Sea as the Nimitz Carrier Strike Force.
