200512-N-OW019-0024 PACIFIC OCEAN (May 12, 2020) A Mark 45 five-inch gun is fired aboard the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG 59) as part of a live-fire evolution during a composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX). Princeton is part of Nimitz Carrier Strike Group (CSG). COMPTUEX is an intensive exercise designed to fully integrate units of the CSG, while testing its ability as a whole to carry out sustained combat operations from the sea.
