Cpl. Brandon Hunt shakes hands with Chase Headly, San Diego Padres third baseman, during a pre-game military appreciation day ceremony at Petco Park, July 8. Hunt, a 23-year-old Raleigh, N.C., native, serves as a flight equipment mechanic with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 268 (Reinforced), the aviation combat element for the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit. The unit returned, June 21, from a seven-month deployment to the Western Pacific, Horn of Africa and Middle East regions.
