    USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19)

200512-N-HR150-1004 PHILIPPINE SEA (May 12, 2020) - Damage Controlman 3rd Class Kyleigh Miller, from Colorado Springs, dons a cranial helmet prior to a crash-and-salvage drill on the flight deck of USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). Crash-and-salvage drills are conducted to train damage control personnel how to fight fires, rescue personnel and save the flight deck in the event of a helicopter mishap. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
